Tokyo Diary, Part 3 – Cherry Blossom et al.

I was lucky enough to visit during the Cherry Blossom. It’s obviously a great sight. So it was just a great time to walk around, visit some parks, and soak in the atmosphere. I’ll just let these pictures speak for themselves:

Sumida Park:

Other highlights in the area include the Asasi beer building, the Skytree in the background (more on that in a later post), as well as a few small temples.

 

Nippon Budokan:

Even if Budokan Hall does not have the mecca-esque significance to you as it does to me, the area is still well worth a visit. The arena is located on a small island right in the middle of a park, which is about as scenic a location as I can imagine. Furthermore, it’s very close to the Imperial Palace and Gardens, which are definitely a must-see visit. So stop on by.
